Reach the Central Serengeti with Seronera Valley

Explore the region where north and south of the region meets at the Seronera Valley which is one of the most popular region of Serengeti with several big cats and the greatest concentration of animals easily spotted round the year. The waters of Seronera River keeps this valley green and supportive for herbivores throughout the year. Lions, cheetahs and hyenas are seen roaming around here along with zebras, giraffes, elephants and other species also found in abundance. This valley is also home to elusive leopards.

Southern Serengeti is a seasonal region and the best time to see the Great Migration here is during end of December and beginning of April. View Hippos on Foot at the Retima Pool

One of the very few places around National Serengeti Park where you will be allowed to leave the vehicle and view hippos playing in the pool on your foot. You can climb and reach a viewing spot only few feet away from over 200 hippos. The bank of the river is 10 feet above the pool and here you will get many compelling opportunities to capture photographs of hippos fighting and grunting in the water.

View the giant Western Corridor

The Western Serengeti commonly termed as the Western Corridor is a giant and special but seldom visited spot in the Serengeti. This valley is bordered by hills both from south and north. The area of Western Corridor is best known for wildebeest exploration that are found here from May till July. The 50 miles long region can be explored well by a guided tour and you get the chances of viewing highlights of the region here including Nile crocodiles, elephants, rare Colobus monkeys and other carnivores.
