Traveling to the Kenzan Tented Camp:

Kenzan Tented Camp is located at the Togoro 1 East Central Serengeti and it is only 45 minutes’ drive from the Seronera Airstrip. The ideal way to reach there is by air. Four main airports operate within Tanzania that have connecting flights to the Seronera Airstrip.

  • Julius Nyerere International (DAR),
  • Kilimanjaro International (JRO),
  • Jomo Kenyatta International, and
  • Arusha Airport (ARK) (domestic flights only)

From Julius Nyerere International – Many of the international airlines operate here including Fly Emirates, Fly Dubai, Kenya Aiways, Etihad Airways, KLM, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, and South African Airlines and any of the international flights arriving before 7:30 am can board a connecting flight from its domestic terminal to the Seronera Airstrip. Flight duration from here would be around 2 hours only. The domestic terminal is only 5 minutes taxi ride from the international terminal.

From Kilimanjaro International – Many of the international airlines operate here including Ethiopian Airlines, KLM, Kenya Airways, Qatar Airways, Rwanda Airways, and Turkish Airways and international flights arriving before 12:00 am can board a connecting flight depart 14h00 to the Seronera Airstrip. Flight duration from here would be around 1 hour only. If your flight arrives before 10:15 am, you can reach Arusha Airport by land which is a one hour drive. From there you can board a flight to Seronera depart 1pm or connect a flight from JRO that depart 10h30 depends your international flight arrival time. 

From Jomo Kenyatta International (Nairobi Airport) – Many of the international airlines operate here including Air France, British Airways, United Airlines, American Airlines, Lufthansa, and Delta and from Nairobi Airport you can transit to the city of Tanzania through different connecting flights to Kilimanjaro International. Any of the flights arriving in Nairobi before 7:00 am can board a short flight to Kilimanjaro International and then a connecting flight to the Seronera Airstrip or fly direct from Nairobi to Seronera Airstrip with a stop over for Tanzania immigraion clearance this option is a bit expensive. 

From Arusha Airport – From Arusha Airport, many local flights operate on daily basis to Seronera Airstrip. Duration of a direct flight from Arusha Airport to Seronera would be around 45 minutes.

Note: For most of the local airlines, luggage weight is restricted to 15 kg per passenger and suitcases or bags with soft-sides are allowed.

Charter Aircrafts – Enjoy absolute comfort and luxury with a private cabin in charter flight that gives you a direct travel to Seronera Airstrip. The choice of private aircraft could be availed for any of the flight routes and there is no luggage weight restriction with them. These flights can land anytime during daylight before sunset.
