What to Expect in Serengeti?

Kenzan Mara Camp operated from July till October and these month of the year are typically the best time to see convincing concentration of wildlife. With this camp being strategically located, you will get to see the unique enclave of raw wilderness all around the park. This is the time when the famous migration crossing of the popular wildebeest inhabitants can be witnessed.

Visiting from July till October:

The Kenzan Mara Camp operates during these months of the year to bring you closer to the best-known wildlife nature preserve in the Serengeti.

July – Typically warm month and marks the beginning of the great crossing and mating of wild life animals in the region. You can expect to see the big fives as well as crocodile encounters.

August – The climate would be hot and humid and during this time animals would be looking for greener lush land. Best views can be witnessed with animals gathering around waterholes and rivers and this makes game drives even more exciting. As dry season kicks in, more of them would be ready to make dangerous crossings and visibility would be improved due to shortage of vegetation. This is the time when hunters get a chance to be in close proximity with their prey.

September – The weather becomes more hot and dry and visit during September could be your last chance to witness the great migration crossing the Grumeti River. You can easily spot the wild life creatures that you are here to look for as you hop on for a game drive from Kenzan Mara Camp.

October – This is the time the herds of wildebeest return back and as the dry season is about to end some early short rains may be witnessed in the Serengeti.

Although there is no one time that could be termed as perfect time to view the beauty of Serengeti but dry season is truly the most popular time of the year witnessing crowd of both locals and tourists adventure seekers and nature lovers flocking in to view the seasonal perks of this action-packed Serengeti National Park.
